Our Philosophy

greeen! architects – for the people, the environment, and our future

The drivers of our work are the three “e”s in greeen! architects, standing for ethical, ecological, and efficient. We continuously engage with ethical, ecological, and economic perspectives, which inform our visionary projects – for the people, the environment, and our future.

For the People
People are at the center of all our efforts. Ethical values are an integral part of our work. We commit to social fairness and the compatibility of our processes and projects. Open dialogue and interdisciplinary, transparent communication among all participants are essential to our integrative approach. We maintain respect and honesty toward all planning participants and colleagues. Our focus is on creating social added value through the design of inspiring and healthy architecture.

For the Environment
As architects, we are aware of our responsibility toward the environment. In our discussions, we replace the term “sustainability” with “holistic thinking,” which is a core part of our philosophy and goes far beyond our green projects. We are constantly seeking resource-efficient and ecological materials and using them efficiently to minimize our ecological footprint. Our goal is to plan and build in a way that materials can be reused, repurposed, or recycled at the end of a building’s life. Continuous optimization of our teamwork is a central part of our processes. Different working groups pursue innovative and sustainable topics. Practice and research reinforce each other in this way, creating important synergies in everyday work—for the health of people and our environment.

For Our Future
We actively shape the future. We think ahead and integrate future challenges into our planning today. Together with partners from research and practice, we network ideas and develop concrete solutions across industry boundaries for our projects. This also includes developing new concepts for energy, resource, and mobility transitions. In this way, we ensure that our interdisciplinary activities create positive effects for both current and future generations—for our shared future.
