Positive planning permission for the "Life Science Campus" project in Düsseldorf

ZAR Real Estate Holding, together with its Düsseldorf subsidiary ZARWEB, has received a positive preliminary building permit for the "Life Science Campus" project. An important milestone has thus been reached for the realization of the project, which is located in Düsseldorf's Heerdt district in a central location on the left side of the Rhine. A modern life science property with around 61,000 square meters of floor space is being developed on the approximately 28,000 square meter site. In addition to laboratory space, the site will include coworking, cocrafting, event and conference space. Pre-leasing of the spaces and planning preparation for the submission of the building application will begin immediately.

Restaurants, cafés and green spaces provide meeting opportunities - this mix of users enables productive exchange. The individual buildings are connected with flexible zones that make the rental areas subdivisible. Sustainability is central to the planning of the "Life Science Campus". The holistic and integral energy and sustainability concept will equally consider building construction and building use. "There is enormous potential for climate protection in sustainable building and utilization concepts. These potentials are also accompanied by a responsibility to the environment. Therefore, it is our ambition to develop a climate-neutral life science campus in the Heerdt district and to be able to meet the increased demand for contemporary research and administration space," explains Martin Hofmann, Managing Director and CDO of ZAR Real Estate Holding.
