Hardly any other city in Germany is growing as fast and hardly any other city has as many faces as Frankfurt am Main: It is a financial center and banking metropolis, it is a trade fair city, it is a university city, it is a sports city. And it has much more to offer.

However, the housing market suffers from this popularity. Supply and demand are in stark disproportion, and the pandemic is further increasing the pressure to invest. Can the city provide enough living space for the projected residents by 2030? And how will rents develop between now and then? Or will there even be a real estate crash?

In the office sector, too, Frankfurt's appeal is proving to be consistent, with money continuing to flow into the Main metropolis. The pandemic shock was followed by a turnover of a good 440,000 square meters in 2021. No wonder new projects are on the way. How many more office towers can the city take? And how will they affect the city's climate?
